John Frewer diaries and papers, 1911-1974 [manuscript]. 1911-1974.

The diaries provide brief entries for appointments and daily events. Frewer's diocese was huge and he never had more than four priests to help him. He travelled extensively baptising, confirming, marrying and councelling his flock. The diary entries are brief but show clearly the magnitude of his task. He travelled by road and by air and entered in the diary the names of the people he visited.
